Guardian Tree

How many winters have you endured?

How many storms have passed,

you standing strong?

You’ve seen epochs shift.

Guarding land and people,

with wisdom and strength.

Grounding cosmic truth

and sharing in presence

with everyone

through the water flowing by your root.

Nourishing and protecting the children, the birds,

the squirrels, the deers

Mother Earth and all her beloved sons and daughters.

Teach us to heal and regenerate as you know,

to endure and provide for the ones yet to come.

Forever we are grateful.

Seeking to grow as tall and divers,

be as loving as you.
